He married, 15 Apr 1861, Machias, ME, Mary E. Thompson, daughter of James and Eleanor (Johnson) Thompson. She was born Sep 1840, Jonesboro, ME, and died 5 Nov 1872, Washington Co., ME. She is buried in Roque Bluffs Cemetery, Washington Co., ME.

They resided in Machias and Jonesboro, ME.
