So your line appears to be: Steve, Jack, Calbert, Lyle, William, James H. Whitney. This is about where the census records run out, so we'll now need to search for James H. Whitney. Perhaps we can find him in Pierce.

It appears that we have some of the children linkages wrong for the children of this family. I need to do some editing here to correct this. In the meantime, your Lyall A. Whitney does appear in Pierce on page 643. See Archive:The Descendants of John Whitney, page 643.

Percy Bacon
I just found the following:
1900 U.S. Census, Mesa, Mesa Co., CO, p. 19A Bacon, George W. Head Jul 1847 52 Indiana Farmer -- Mary E Wife Mar 1848 52 Kentucky -- James B Son May 1874 26 Illinois Indiana Kentucky Farm Laborer -- Fred W Son Oct 1876 23 Indiana Indiana Kentucky Farm Laborer -- Percy M Dau Dec 1880 19 Illinois Indiana Kentucky Teaching -- Oliva DinL Jan 1881 19 Colorado New York Kansas
So Percy was actually Percy M. Bacon.
awww he was still a turnip... This should be fun for your family. This is a mountain more data than any previous attempt by any of your family. Aaron..
Looks like we are related at Mary Bray.

man... this means I have to chart this for him now.. ugh..
Aww.. you Got a John Whitney badge already.. I'm still a nobody! lo
Alfie
I believe this is Alfie:
Name: Alfie A Peterson Home in 1920: Anacortes, Skagit, Washington Age: 13 years Estimated birth year: abt 1907 Birthplace: Norway Relation to Head of House: Daughter Father's Birth Place: Norway Mother's name: Anna A Mother's Birth Place: Norway Marital Status: Single Race: White Sex: Female Year of Immigration: 1907 Able to read: Yes Able to Write: Yes Image: 846 Household Members: Name Age Anna A Peterson 37 Danna C Peterson 18 Alfie A Peterson 13 Ruth I Peterson 11 Arvin N Peterson 9 Rueben J Peterson 8 Elsie D Peterson 6 Rose M Peterson 4 8/12
looks right on the money. Anacortes.. where we all live is too remote and small for mistakes.. lol if you find someone here.. THEY WERE HERE.. lol
By the way, per the 1910 census, Alfie's father was John Peterson, from Norway, a crab fisherman.
- can you recommend a good GEDCOM for him to start with to save me some time charting him? Just thought you might know of a good one on that line with good info** I would much rather map a few down that go the whole nine yards.**
