Ezra Ames Whitney (Isaac, Barnabas, Isaac, Nathaniel, Benjamin, John), was born 03 06 1815, Augusta, ME.
He married firstly, Martha Tilton. She was born 03 05 1814 and died 04 03 1841, Freeman, ME.
Martha (Tilton) Whitney is buried in the Strong Village Cemetery in Strong, ME.
Ezra m. secondly 26 December 1862 in Steuben, ME Abigail Jane Watts, b. in 1833 in Steuben, ME, the dau. of Joseph Tupper and Hannah (Wakefield) Watts.
By the 1850 census, after the death of Martha, Ezra was residing in Steuben, ME, where he was a painter. After his second marriage he removed to Freeman by 1854 (1860 census) and Skowhegan by 1870, where he was a carpenter.

Married 16 July 1874 in Skowhegan, ME to James Cleveland Durrell, b. 15 October 1854, d. 15 June 1920 in Newton, MA. vi. Bion E.A. Whitney, b. 05 01 1859, Skowhegan, ME, d. 04 04 1924, Bar Harbor, ME. He married firstly Marcia Pray on 16 January 1887 in Millbridge, Washington Co., ME. He married secondly a "Miss Leighton". vii.
