Daniel Whitney, parentage unknown but probably the son of Thomas Whitney (b1725-a1776), born sometime between 1775 and 1794,[1] died after 1820.[2]

If this Daniel Whitney was the son of Thomas Whitney, he was born 3 Sep 1777 and was probably the Daniel Whitney who m. Sally Harriss, 15 Jan 1811, Somerset Co., MD.

i. Elizabeth Susan Whitney, b. 12 Mar 1812, m. William M. Tull.

  • 1820, 2-Dist, Somerset Co., MD: Daniel Whitney, 1 male 26-45, 3 males 16-26, 10 people engaged in commerce, 2 male slaves 45 and over, 3 male slaves 26-45, 3 male slaves 15-26, 2 male slaves under 14, 2 female slaves 26-45, 3 female slaves under 14.
  • 1830: not found. The census for Somerset Co., MD has been lost.
  • 1840: not found.
