John Stone6 Whitney (Daniel5, Daniel4, Jonathan3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Daniel5 and Katy (Stone) Whitney,[1] was born 20 Jun 1783, Marlborough, MA,[2] and died after 1840.

He married, 30 Apr 1809, Martha Woodbridge, daughter of William and Martha (Patterson) Woodbridge. She was born 12 Jun 1787, and died 4 Sep 1870.

Children of John Stone6 and Martha (Woodbridge) Whitney, possibly incomplete:

i. Amos7 Whitney, b. 17 Jan 1810, NY; d. 23 Apr 1869; m. Elmina [?Buck?], b. ca. 1815, NY.
ii. Lucius Whitney, b. 12 Aug 1812, NY; m. Cyntha -----, b. ca. 1812, VT.
iii. Mary Whitney, b. 13 May 1816, NY; d. 1898; m. Abel A. Simmons, b. 1814, d. 1893. Both are buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Canton, NY.
