Horace6 Whitney (Jonathan5, Matthias4, Cornelius3, Joshua2, John1), son of Jonathan5 and Olive (Cady) Whitney, was born 4 Oct 1805, CT, and died 6 Mar 1888, Sunbury, OH.
He married firstly, Nancy Edwards, daughter of Eli and Hannah (Wisley) Edwards. She was born say 1807, and died about 1838.
He married secondly, 19 Aug 1838, Delaware Co., OH, Eliza Swallow. She was born about 1815, PA, and died after 1880, but probably before 1900.
He was a farmer, and resided Trenton, Delaware Co., OH.

Oak Grove Cemetery, Delaware Co., OH; m. William Ross. vii. Betsey Whitney, b. ca. 1836 or ca. 1833, OH. Unmarried in 1860. viii. Nancy Whitney, b. ca. 1838, OH; m. after 1860, ----- Thomas. She was probably the Ann Whitney who m. Ascott Thomas, and appears in the 1870 census with brother David in Florence, Stephenson Co., IL. This is reinforced by David's naming of a son Ascott Whitney.
