He served during the war, and at its close was captain in the New York state militia. Has held many offices in the gift of his townsmen; resided Almond, NY.
He received an award of $13 for his service in the New York state militia during the War of 1812. At the time, he was residing in Almond, Allegany Co., NY.[1]
Ami6 and Rachel (Osgood) Whitney had no children.
