Benjamin⁷ Whitney (Joseph⁶, Jonathan⁵, James⁴, Joseph³, Jonathan², John¹), son of Joseph⁶ and Sophia (Oliver) Whitney, was born 17 Jan 1807, West Galway, NY, and died 4 Jan 1856.

He married, 1832, ----- -----. She died between 1845 and 1850.

Children of Benjamin⁷ and ----- (-----) Whitney:

i.	Cathrine8 Whitney, b. ca. 1835, NY. Two daughters died before attaining their majority.
ii.	Newton Ledyard Whitney, b. ca. 1838, NY; d. 1884; m. Mary A. -----, had son Le Borne, who resided in Eustis, FL.
iii.	Jenetta J. Whitney, b. ca. 1838, NY. Two daughters died before attaining their majority.
iv.	Sophia D. Whitney, b. ca. 1843, NY. Two daughters died before attaining their majority.
v.	William Wallace Whitney, b. ca. 1845, NY, d. and left a widow and three sons; one was Percy.
