Joseph Warren Whitney (Phinehas Whitney, (poss.) John5, (poss.) Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Phinehas and Mary (Crommitt) Whitney, was born 27 Oct 1821, Phillips, ME, and died after 1850.

He married, 24 Oct 1846, Bangor, ME, Mary S. Whitcomb. She was born about 1828, ME, and died after 1850.
