[Transcriber's note:-- The births, marriages and deaths are taken from the Records of Vital Statistics of Ridgefield, Conn. The births in particular are recorded in an inconsistant manner. Some are arranged by families, with all the children of a set of parents grouped together. Other sections record the births chronologically for a period of time. In both cases, the births are roughly, but not completely chronological and may skip back and forth a decade or two between entries. In some cases, the dates are incomplete in the original, perhaps because the edge of the page was torn, those are indicated by a dash for the missing information. -- jd]
