George T.8 Whitney (Humphrey7, Jonathan6, (prob.) Jonathan5, Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Humphrey7 and Almira (Dyer) Whitney, was born 16 Oct 1823, ME, and died 3 Feb 1908, probably Grand Rapids, MI.

He married firstly, about 1842, ME, Mary Darling. She was born about 1822, ME, and died about 1854, probably Lewiston, ME.

He married secondly, 8 Sep 1868, Norvell, MI, Mary E. Harden. She was born about 1850, NY.

George was a veteran of the Civil War.
