He did not marry, but had a liaison with, Mary Ann Banks, daughter of William and Miltilda (-----) Banks, of Hanover Co., VA.
He married firstly, Martha Maria Richardson,[1] daughter of Schuyler and Minerva (Wilson) Richardson. She was born 22 Dec 1842, NY, and died 1903.[2]
He married secondly, Elva (Prentice)(Cook) Thompson. She was born 18 May 1856, and died 16 Mar 1932, aged 75 years, Wyoming Co., NY.[3]
Captain, Co. D, 37th Infantry U.S. Colored Troops, in the Civil War. Also Private, Co. D., 136th New York Volunteer Infantry, in the Civil War.
