Beverly Jeanette Maier (Dorothy May Spring, Clayton Burton, Alfred F., Sylvester P., Erastus, Amos, Amos, Abigail Chadwick, Sarah4 Whitney, Nathaniel3, John2, John1, ThomasA, daughter of Harry Donald and Dorothy May (Spring) Maier, was born in Attica, Wyoming County, New York.
She married Capt. Dr. Timothy Raymond Burke, son of Richard Joseph and Josephina (Battaglia) Burke. He was born in Buffalo, Erie County, New York.
Dame Beverly J. Burke was knighted by Prince Victor Emmanuel of Savoy, Duke Savoy, only son of H.M. King Humbert II of Italy in 2004. She worked for the New York State Department of Mental Health for over 30 years before retiring in 2006. They lived on Sunny Slope Farm in East Aurora, New York from September 1991 until September 2004. Dame Beverly is an avid equestrian and children's advocate and graduate of the Barbara Brennan School of Energy Healing in Miami.
Capt. Dr. Timothy R. Burke was a pathologist at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York, and a merchant mariner on Lake Erie. He authored the children's book Tugboats in Action.
