Otis C.8 Whitney (Otis7, Solomon6, Solomon5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Otis7 and Sarah (Taylor) Whitney, was born 26 Sep 1801, Campton, NH, and died 11 Sep 1877, Boston, MA, aged 67 years, of heart disease, carpenter, son of Otis and Sarah, b. NH.[1]
He married, before 1847, Mary F. -----. She was born about 1830, MA, and died after 1860.

The births of the four children are not found in Massachusetts vital records. She may be the Mary F. (Derby) Whitney, daughter of Loring and Eliza (-----) Derby, born Cambridge, MA, who died 5 Nov 1871, Boston, MA, aged 43 years, of apoplexy.[2]
