George7 Whitney (Jacob6, Ebenezer5, Amos4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Jacob6 and Abigail (Moses) Whitney, was born 25 Feb 1817, Buxton, ME,[1] and died 29 Mar 1890, Buxton, ME.[2]
He married, say 1842, Hannah -----. She was born Sep 1817, ME.
George was a farmer. He is found in the censuses of 1850 through 1880 in Buxton, ME. In 1860, Phoebe Fields, age 70, resided with them. She is possibly the mother of Hannah.
In 1900, Hannah W. Whitney resided in Gorham, ME with her daughter Arzilla, the wife of Frederick D. Scammon.

Whitney above, and his age is understated in the 1870 census.
Notes
The record of the births of their children call George the son of Eben, but that seems wrong, and that he was brother of Eben and son of Jacob.
