The fate of Merrill’s first wife Clara is unknown as no further records beyond the 1910 census have been found. It is unknown if she is the mother of any of the children as no supporting records have been located. His second wife Matilda is listed as the mother on their son Merton’s death record. Until more is known about this family, it is assumed Matilda is the mother of all of the children.
