Israel6 Whitney (Israel5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Israel5 and Jemima (Robbins) Whitney;[1] born 7 Mar 1775, Watertown, Massachusetts;[2] married 1 Jan 1799, Needham, Massachusetts, Mary Fuller, born 16 Oct 1780, died 18 Jan 1859. He was postmaster for years. He died 16 Jul 1846; resided Needham, Massachusetts.

i. Parmelia7 Whitney, born 14 Oct 1819; married 24 Jan 1819, Ira Allen, born July 11, 1797. She died 25 Apr 1836. He was proprietor of a line of teams running between Pawtucket and Providence, Rhode Island - Ch.: Emily, born Feb, 23, 1820; Emily, 2d, born 14 Mar 1822; married William White; Fanny, born 8 May 1823; William Pitt, born 19 Jan 1832; married 3 Nov 1851, Elizabeth J. Pratt, at Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Present address, 194 Cottage St., Pawtucket, Rhode Island ; his dau. is Emily F.; resided Boston, Massachusetts, P. O. Box 2177; Mary Frances, born Mar. 18, 1834; Frances Whitney, born 26 Mar 1836.
ii. Mary Richards Whitney, born 11 Jun 1802, ; 1 Jan 1866, Henry C. Snell; resided Medway, Massachusetts. She died s. p. 31 May 1886. iii. Ann Frances Whitney, born 13 Apr 1808; married 20 Apr 1826, Lemeul Lyon. She died 9 Apr 1842. He was born 2 Feb 1806; died Yokohama, Japan, 6 Apr 1871; was a merchant. Ch.; Israel Whitney, born 27 Apr 1827, 88 Maiden Lane, New York; Sarah Brown, born Oct. 23, 1828; Ellen Frances. born 23 May 1831; E. Mary Maria, born May 22, 1832; Levina Ann, born 12 Dec 1835; Lemual Elisha, born Oct. 11, 1837; Henry and Harriet, twins, born Sept. 1840. iv. Levina Whitney, born 11 Feb 1804; married 26 Mar 1844, Stephen Utley; married 26 Sep 1849, Jonathan S. Fuller; married 3d 12 Nov 1851, Elisha Converse, of Palmer, Massachusetts. She died 21 Apr 1888.
