Family:Whitney, Alvin (1840-a1870)

Alvin⁷ Whitney (Eliab Turner⁶, Josiah⁵, John⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Eliab Turner⁶ and Lydia (Williams) Whitney, was born 16 Feb 1840, Newcastle, ME, and died after 1870.

He married, before 1864, Ann -----, possibly daughter of Anne Fields. She was born about 1845, ME.

F. C. Pierce writes that his name was Albion, but in her pension application his mother writes that his name was Alvin.

i.	Alice8 Whitney, b. ca. 1864, ME.
i.	(prob.) Benjamin F. Whitney, b. ca. 1874, MA. Probably the same as the son Benjamin L. Whitney claimed for him by F. C. Pierce; lived with his aunt Sarah Jane (Whitney)(Merry) Seavey in 1880.
