Asa6 Whitney, parentage unknown, was born say 1778, and died after 1830, OH.

He married ----- Jackson. She died six years before her husband.

"His grandfather, Asa Whitney, a native of New England, married a Miss Jackson. They were among the very first settlers in this part of the country, where they owned two hundred acres of heavily timbered land. Asa Whitney died in Ohio at an advanced age, his wife having passed away about six years previously. They brought up four sons and three daughters, none of whom are now living."[1]

Notes

It seems possible that he was a son of Asa5 and Abigail (Brownson) Whitney, but this is far from certain.
