Erastus L. Whitney (Levi, Lemuel), son of Levi and Sally (Metcalf) Whitney, was born 6 Jan 1829, Warwick, MA,[1] and died said 1855.
He married, 30 May 1852, Adams, MA, Sarah Anna Sheldon, daughter of Hiram Granger and Lydia (Ballou) Sheldon.[2] She was born 23 Aug 1829, Monroe, MA, and died Nov 1912, Missoula, MT. She married secondly, 7 May 1861, DeKalb Co., IL, Bridgeman Carter Baker, son of Harvey and Ann Eliza (Carter) Baker, born 3 Sep 1830, Hawley, MA, and died 25 Oct 1883, Van Orin, IL.

i. George Gordon Whitney, b. 8 Dec 1852, Adams, MA;[3] m. Matilda Moore Yates.
