Franklin⁶ Whitney (Benjamin⁵, Joseph⁴, Joseph³, Jonathan², John¹), son of Benjamin⁵ and Anna (Woods) Whitney; born Tunbridge, Vermont, 30 Nov 1810; married there 7 Apr 1842, Catherine Kemp, born 22 Feb 1821; died 26 Jan 1881. He died 5 Jan 1880; resided Tunbridge, Vermont.

Children of Franklin⁶ and Catherine (Kemp) Whitney:

i.	Martha Jane7 Whitney, born 14 Sep 1842; married ----- Giles, and died 6 Aug 1860.
ii.	Marietta Whitney, born 4 Mar 1847; married York Whitney.
iii.	George Franklin Whitney, born 16 Sep 1851; married Hattie M. Corwin.
