Josiah⁵ Whitney (John⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of John⁴ and Jerusha (Knowles) Whitney, born 7 Nov 1741, Eastham, Massachusetts, married 24 Jan 1771, Brookline, Massachusetts, Hannah Turner, daughter of Eliab and Martha (Barstow) Turner, born Cambridge, Massachusetts, 1732; died 1807, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. He died Salmon River, Queens County, New Brunswick, 1810; resided Gaspé, Nova Scotia, and Salmon River, New Brunswick.
