James Osgood9 Whitney (Oreson8, Luke7, William6, William5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Oreson8 and Amanda (Chase) Whitney, was born 31 Dec 1831, Gardner, MA, and died 29 Jun 1875 [record not found in MA].
He "of Winchendon" married, 28 Jul 1853, Barre, MA, Maria Drury "of Westminster", daughter of Abner Miles and Maria (School)(Drury) Drury.[1] She was born about 12 Mar 1835, Westminster, MA, and died 16 Feb 1869, Westminster, MA, aged 34 years 10 months 4 days, of heart difficulty.[2]
He was first a chairmaker and later a marble worker. He resided Baldwinsville, MA, and Rosewood, FL.
