Horace L.⁷ Whitney (Leonard⁶, Joseph⁵, Joseph⁴, Joseph³, Jonathan², John¹), son of Leonard⁶ and Philanda (Blood) Whitney, was born 17 Jul 1845, NH, and died 7 Dec 1884.

He married, 17 Jan 1871, Rutland, VT, Ethelinda Ellis also recorded as "Esther T.", daughter of Timothy and Hannah Hibbard (Richardson) Ellis.^[1] She was born about 1853, Keene, NH, and died after 1880.
