Charles Oreson10 Whitney (James Osgood9, Oreson8, Luke7, William6, William5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of James Osgood9 and Marie (Drury) Whitney, was born 30 May 1855, Baldwinville or Westminster, MA, and died after 1920.

He married, 29 Nov 1874, Hyde Park, MA, Rhoda Ann Perry, daughter of James F. and Jannet (-----) Perry. She was born 4 Jul 1845, Shelburne, NS,[1] and died after 1920.

He is a carpenter; resided Marblehead, MA.

i. James Evander11 Whitney, b. 7 Nov 1875, Quincy, MA; m. 24 Jan 1900, Boston, MA, Carrie F. Johnson, b. ca. 1869, Charlestown, MA, dau. of Alfred and Phebe A. (Walker) Johnson.[2] Children:
a. Herbert James12 Whitney, b. 20 Jul 1904, Boston, MA.[3]
ii. Marie Whitney, b. 17 Jun 1877; d. 23 Jun 1877.
iii. Charles Robert Whitney, b. 4 Apr 1879, NS; m. 13 Oct 1900, Grafton, MA, Anna Eliza Brown, b. ca. 1880, Grafton, MA, dau of James F. and Mary T. (Griffin) Brown.[4] Children:
a. Charles James12 Whitney, b. 28 Jan 1901, Somerville, MA.
iv. Flora Martha Geneva Whitney, b. 18 Aug 1881.
