Matthias⁶ Whitney (Cornelius⁵, Matthias⁴, Cornelius³, Joshua², John¹), son of Cornelius⁵ and Elizabeth (May) Whitney, was born 25 May 1776, Killingly, CT, and died 18 Dec 1857, Mexico, NY.

He married 14 May 1795, Betsey Barnes. She was born 1774, and died 12 Jun 1851.

He resided Mexico, NY.
