He married, 13 Nov 1881, Waltham, MA, Leila Porter, daughter of Fred K. and Eliza C. (-----) Porter.[3] She was born about 1856, Waltham, MA.
He resided Waltham, MA. He was a wood turner and draftsman.

Charles Abijah Whitney, b. 11 Jan 1899 [twin], Waltham, MA;[8] d. 28 Jan 1900, Waltham, MA, aged 1 year 18 days, of acute pulmonary edema.[9] ii. Samuel Butterick Whitney, b. 11 Jan 1899 [twin], Waltham, MA;[10] d. 19 Sep 1899, Waltham, MA, aged 8 months 8 days, of meningitis (vaselar) and enterocolitis.[11]
