He married, 19 Aug 1869, Bangor, ME, Emma L. Holmes, "both of Hudson",^[1] daughter of Shephard Holmes./ She was born Mar 1853, Hancock, ME, and died after 1 Oct 1923. She married secondly, Mar 1905, Pittsfield, ME, Horace Maxim.
