Hollis Guy¹⁰ Whitney (George Horace⁹, George T.⁸, (Humphrey⁷, Jonathan⁶, (prob.) Jonathan⁵, Samuel⁴, John³, Benjamin², John¹), son of George Horace⁹ and Emma L. (Holmes) Whitney, was born 8 Mar 1874, Detroit, ME,^[1] and died after 1920.

He married firstly, 26 Sep 1894, Detroit, ME, Florence E. Linscott, daughter of Lorenzo and Lavina (Loves) Linscott.^[2] She was born Dec 1877, Hancock, ME, and died after 1900.

He married secondly, about 1903, Lettie J. -----. She was born about 1885, ME, and died after 1920.

He registered for the World War I draft at Newport, ME.^[3]
