First, welcome to the WRG website! I saw your message to Robert Ward and thought I'd send you a reply. We would LOVE to test a direct descendant of the Whitneys of Whitney-on-Wye, but we have not been able to locate any to be tested. As far as we know, the direct line died out back in 1670 when the manor was inherited by daughters. There must be other male-line descendants of other brothers from earlier generations, but as yet we have not made contact with them.
