He married fourthly, 15 Jan 1902, Maxwell, Story Co., IA, Augusta May (Rehrdantz)(Graves) Lewis, daughter of Frederick and Caroline (Gunther) Rehrdantz. She was born about 1853, Germany.[5] They were divorced 20 Aug 1904, Story Co., IA.
He served in the Civil War, Co. H, 6th MI Inf., and Co. H, 1st MI Heavy Art.[6]
