Sarah P.7 Whitney (Francis Tufts6, Joseph5, Benjamin4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Francis Tufts6 and Abigail (Blanchard) Whitney, was born 17 Sep 1848, Shelby Co., OH, and died 24 Apr 1874, Shelby Co., OH.

She married 16 Mar 1867, Shelby Co., OH, Edmund R. Cecil, son of Bryan S. and Sarah Cecil. He was born about 1839, OH, and died 20 Oct 1879, Shelby Co., OH.

Edmund Cecil was a farmer and soldier, and his children received pension benefits for his service to his country during the Civil War. Both Edmund R. and Sarah P.(Whitney) Cecil are buried in the Wright Cemetery, Loramie, Shelby Co., OH.
