N.Y., 12 July 1819, dau. of Robert and Martha (Comstock) McMurphy, from Connecticut. He lived at Medina from 1827 to 1848; at North Pembroke, N. Y., for twenty-two years ; at Medina, Mich., for two years ; and then
settled at Alexander, N. Y., where they were living in Jan. 1875.

where he was born 28 June 1794. She died, 28 July 1828, at Ransomville, N. Y., and was buried there. His third wife was Rebecca Jeffrey, and his fourth, Mrs. Betsey (Lincoln) Whitlock. He died, 1 Dec. 1868, at
Ransomville, and was buried there.

III. Ransom Todd, b. at Palmyra, N. Y., 6 July 1805; a carpenter, joiner and cabinet-maker ; married, 1 July 1829, at Ridgeway, N. Y., by Rev. James Carpenter, Baptist, to Sally Ann Wade, who was
born in Romulus, N. Y., 2 Nov. 1808, dau. of Jephthah and Sarah (Allen) Wade.1 They dwelt in Pontiac, Mich., from 29 Sept 1829 to 5 Jan. 1830; in Ypsilanti, Mich., from 6 Jan. 1830 to 15 Dec. 1832; in
Adrian, Mich., from 15 Dec. 1832 till 28 May 1867; and then moved to Gorham, Ohio, where they were living in Feb. 1875. He has been, for forty years, a deacon of the Baptist Church.

1 Jephthah Wade and Sarah Allen were born and married at Morristown, N. J.; and moved, in 1804, to Romulus, N. Y., where he died in 1813. She died at Carmel, Mich., in Sept. 1853.
