Boylston Samuel⁸ Whitney (John⁷, Phinehas⁶ Whitney, Samuel⁵, William⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of John⁷ and Sarah (Chapman) Whitney, was born 31 Mar 1831, Waterford, Washington County, Ohio, and died 21 Dec 1902, Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana, aged 66 years.

He married firstly, 8 Mar 1855, Delaware County, Indiana, Margaret Bush, daughter of Samuel Bush.

He married secondly, 9 Jun 1861, Delaware County, Indiana, Keziah W. Bush (sister of his first wife). She was born 5 May 1833, Ohio, and died 1 Sep 1897, Selma, Delaware County, Indiana.

vii.	Harry Whitney, b. 1871, Illinois; d. 1941, Muncie, Indiana; m. 10 Nov 1894, Indiana, Hattie G. Manley. She was b. 1877, and d. 1953, Muncie, Indiana. Both are buried in Mount Tabor Cemetery, Delaware County, Indiana.
viii.	Emma Jane Whitney, b. 1873, Illinois; d. Clarinda, Page County, Iowa; m. 1892, Page County, Iowa, James Marley. He was son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Weed) Marley, b. 5 Jul 1873, Iowa, d. 1959, Colorado.
