Wayman C. Whitney (Hiram, Elijah^[1]), was born circa 1824, Kentucky, and died after 1860, Kentucky. In 1850 he was listed as being a cooper (barrel maker).

He married 31 May 1848, Trigg County, Kentucky, Ruth Kennady. She was born circa 1832, and died after 1860.
