William Whitcomb8 Whitney' (Josiah7, Jacob6, Abraham5, Abraham4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Josiah7 and Rhoda (Jewell) Whitney, was born 10 Oct 1807, Harvard, MA,[1] was baptized 3 Jan 1808, Bolton, MA,[2] and died 25 Nov 1878, Rutland, MA, aged 71 years 1 month 15 days, of heart disease and dropsy, farmer, married.[3]

Marriage intentions were published 29 Mar 1829, Bolton, MA, for him and Susanna Smith "of Harvard".[4] He "of Bolton" married, 15 Apr 1829, Harvard, MA, Susanna Smith,[5] daughter of Calvin and Ruth (Maynard) Smith. She was born 25 Apr 1809, Marlborough, MA,[6] and died 19 Nov 1891, Bolton, MA, aged 82 years 6 months 25 days, of heart failure.[7]
