Capt. Jonas⁶ Whitney (Jonathan⁵, Zaccheus⁴, Jonathan³, Jonathan², John¹), son of Jonathan⁵ and Mary (Wyman) Whitney, was born 27 Aug 1772, Lancaster, MA,^[1] was baptized 30 Aug 1772, Lancaster, MA,^[2] and died 14 Jan 1846, Lancaster, MA.^[3]

Marriage intentions were published 8 Apr 1803, Lancaster, MA, for him and Mary Hawkes "both of Lancaster".^[4] He married, 2 Jun 1803, Lancaster, MA, Mary Hawkes.

He resided Lancaster, MA.

On 5 Aug 1810, both he and his wife were admitted to the church,^[5][6] and wife Mary was baptized.^[7] His daughter was baptized at the same time.
