Emory Stewart⁸ Whitney (Nathaniel⁷, Nathaniel⁶, Samuel⁵, Nathaniel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), born Marlboro, Vermont, 28 Feb 1805; married 25 Oct 1827, Sarepta Hale, of Brattleboro; born Oct. 12,1804; died 27 Apr 1878. She married 2d, 18 Sep 1842, Jacob White; born 7 Mar 1789; one ch., Charles H., born 2 Oct 1845. He died June 21, 1839; resided Marlboro, Vermont.

i.	Willard Newton9 Whitney, born 3 Sep 1828; married Georgianna Mather.
ii.	Frederick Alonzo Whitney, born 23 Jun 1833; married Eveline Mason.
iii.	Brutus Merrill Whitney, born 9 Dec 1835; married Sylvia A. Thayer.
iv.	Charles Stewart Whitney, born 29 May 1831; died 6 Sep 1835.
v.	Harriett Maria Whitney, born 10 Dec 1839; married 28 Jan 1863, Roswell A. Thomas; resided Mount Pulaski, Illinois. He was born 4 Sep 1841; d.s.p. 25 Mar 1884.
