Coydon L.⁹ Whitney (Russell⁸, Moses⁷, Samuel⁶, Samuel⁵, Nathaniel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Russell⁸ and Polly (Lamb) Whitney; born Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, 26 Oct 1823; married 22 Feb 1861, Fannie A. Pope, born 22 May 1837. He is a farmer; has been four terms president of the town council; resided Honesdale, Pennsylvania.

i.	Lizzie H.10 Whitney, born 20 Oct 1862.
ii.	Minnie E. Whitney, born 24 Feb 1865; married 27 Aug 1890, Walter J. Adams.
iii.	Russell T. Whitney, born 18 Jan 1868.
iv.	Hattie E. Whitney, born 1 Jul 1872; died 20 Dec 1872.
v.	Nellie B. Whitney, born 10 Oct 1873; died 1 Jan 1874.
vi.	Grace A. Whitney, born 7 Aug 1877.
vii.	Blanche L. Whitney, born 18 Feb 1882.
