John⁷ Whitney (Thomas⁶, Benjamin⁵, Joseph⁴, Joseph³, Jonathan², John¹), born Tunbridge, Vermont, 18 Dec 1821; married at Washington, Vermont, 2 Apr 1850, Lorinda Bragman, born 8 Oct 1831, died 19 Mar 1855; married 2d at Williamstown, Vermont, 27 Sep 1855, Eunice Martin, born 9 Jun 1828. He is a teamster and is engaged in his business between Barre and Montpelier, Vt,; resided Williamstown, Vermont.

i.	Willis W.8 Whitney, born 29 Mar 1851; married Adelia R. Beaman and Lucy M. Allen.
ii.	Hannah A. Whitney, born 12 Mar 1852; died 22 Mar 1853.
iii.	Charles A. Whitney, born 17 May 1854; married Alice Brown.
iv.	Fred H. Whitney, born 18 Aug 1856; married Lizzie M. Webster.
v.	Effie Ann Whitney, born 26 Feb 1859; resided at home.
vi.	Edwin M. Whitney, born 24 Mar 1862; resided at home.
vii.	Elwin T. Whitney, born 24 Mar 1862; resided at home.
