John S.8 Whitney (Ezra7, John6, James5, James4, John3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Ezra7 and Sarah F. (Slack) Whitney, was born 4 Aug 1819, Eastport, ME.
He married, 6 Jun 1850, Therville Parish, LA, Mary E. Gellusseora. She was born 23 Feb 1827.
He has been postmaster for about 25 years; resided Orange Lake, FL.
