Hezekiah5 Whitney (Enoch4, Ebenezer3, Richard2, John1), son of Enoch4 and Thankful (Parke) Whitney was born 28 May 1744 at Preston, CT[1], b. 26 Dec 1748 at Preston, CT; b. 26 Dec 1748 at Preston, CT and died 20 Dec 1827 at Washington, CT, at age 78[2], d. 20 Dec 1827 at Washington, CT, at age 78.

Hezekiah married Olive Knight, daughter of John and Eleanor (Wood) Knight, between Sep 1774 and Dec 1774 at Plainfield, CT; by Rev. Alexander Miller; d.

He Notes of Edward Raymond Sandiford/1941-1956: *'Note: That the Hezekiah Whitney of Washington, CT. was the Hezekiah born to Enoch Whitney is covered by an affidavit among the pension papers of Hezekiah Whitney at Washington, D.C.' *'Note: Hezekiah's Pension papers at Washington, D.C. give the information marked (a) above and below and the information that after his marriage he removed from Plainfield to that part of the Society of New Preston that in 1779 became part of Washington, CT.; that he served two consecutive enlistments in the Revolution, a total of 6 years; that he was at the surrender of Burgoyne at Saratoga and at West Point when Major Andre was captured. In their later years both he and his wife were badly crippled with rheumatism. In 1818 he applied for and got a pension. In 1837 his widow applied for and received his pension, giving her age as 81. Joseph Whitney of Warren, CT., by affidavit attested to his brother Hezekiah's war service and thereby identified himself as a son of Enoch.' Olive Knight was born on 17 Mar 1756 at Norwich, CT. She was born on 17 Mar 1756 at Norwich, CT. She died on 7 Dec 1849 at Washington, CT, at age 93. She An Olive Whitney died in Washington, CT, 7 Dec 1849, supposedly age 100. Washington was where at least one of her children was born, so this is probably the death for this Olive, widow of Hezekiah. If so, the same record says she was born in Plainfield.

i. Elisha6 Whitney, b. circa 1775; m. Rachel Frost, daughter of Samuel Frost and Sarah Cooper, circa 1800 at Washington, CT; d. 1862; aged 89; d. 12 Apr 1862 at Naugatuck, CT.
Reference: 621. He and Rachel Frost Note of Edward Raymond Sandiford/1941-1956: *'At Washington, CT the fact of Elisha Whitney's marriage to Rachel Frost is registered, but the date is not given. He was married a time of 1800 Census.'
ii. Squire Whitney, b. 3 Sep 1778; d. after 1812; d. 27 Jun 1824 at Washington, CT, at age 45; d. 27 Jun 1824 at New Preston, CT, at age 45.
He Notes of Edward Raymond Sandiford/1941-1956: *'Wife's name not known, but death of his child is recorded at the church at New Preston'. *'He enlisted from New Milford and served in the War of 1812.'
iii. Thomas Whitney, b. 19 Apr 1779; d. after Oct 1815.

iv. Betsey Whitney, b. 4 Nov 1782.
v. Abial Whitney, b. at Washington, CT; b. after 1783; b. circa 1784; m. Fanny M. Gary 21 Jun 1842 at Warren, CT; wife "of Fishkill, NY;" d. 1877 at New Milford, CT.
vi. Diadama Whitney, b. between about 1795-0-0 and 18; d. after 1818.
She Living with her parents in 1818 as mentioned in her father's pension affidavit. She and Diadamia Whitney may be identical. She Note of Edward Raymond Sandiford/1941-1956: *'Diadama Whitney was living with parents in 1818 as mentioned in her father's pension affidavit.'
vii. David Whitney, b. circa 1793; d. 23 Apr 1858 at Washington, CT.
He Was living at New Preston, CT, when his child died in 1828. He Note of Edward Raymond Sandiford/1941-1956: *'David Whitney was living at New Preston in 1828 when his child died. Record at church at New Preston.'
