Horatio8 Whitney (David7, Ephraim6, David5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of David7 and Lois (Clapp) Whitney, was born 13 Nov 1798, Boston, MA,[1] and died said 1854, Scottsville, NY.

On 1 Jun 1815, Enoch Wiswall, Esq., of Watertown, was appointed guardian of Horatio Whitney, son of David Whitney, late of Needham, Norfolk Co., and posted bond with John Hunting and Joseph Peirce, both of Watertown, as sureties.[2]

Marriage intentions were published 5 May 1821, Watertown, MA, for him and Betsey Greenwood.[3] He "of Watertown" married, 4 Jun 1821, Sherborn, MA, Betsey Greenwood.[4]

i. Elizabeth9 Whitney, b. 28 Jun 1823, Needham, MA.[5]
ii. Horatio Whitney, b. 12 Jun 1825, Needham, MA.[6]
