Jump to navigationJump to searchDavid Whitney, parentage unknown but perhaps related to Thomas Whitney (b1725-a1776), born sometime before 1774,[1] died after 1820.[2]
He married 21 Jan 1799, Somerset Co., MD, Rachel Evans.[3]

- 1790: The 1790 census for Somerset Co., MD no longer exists.
- 1800, Monie Hundred, Somerset Co., MD: David Whitney, 1 male over 45, 1 male 26-45, 1 male 10-16, 1 female 26-45, 1 slave.
1810: not found.
- 1820, 2nd District, Somerset Co., MD: David Whitney, 1 male over 45, 3 males 18-25, 1 female over 45, 1 female 16-25, and 1 female slave 14-25; 1 engaged in manufacture or trades.

1. ^ He must have been either the male over 45 or the male 26-45 on the 1800 census, so that places his birth at sometime before 1774.
2. ^ He was enumerated on the 1820 census, so he must have died sometime after that.
