Benjamin Walker, (1742-75), served as captain in Col. Ebenezer Bridge's company. He was
severely wounded at Bunker Hill and died of his wounds, a prisoner in Boston jail. He was born in
Billerica, Mass.

Gershom Brigham, (1749-1817), was a minute man from Marlboro under Capt. William Brigham
at Concord, 1775. He died in Fayston, Vermont.
Lemuel Whitney, (1743-1813), was a manufacturer of saltpetre which was made into gunpowder.
He also served in the army. He was born in Leicester, Mass.; died in Springfield, Vt.

Riverious Hooker marched from Cheshire county, New Hampshire to re-enforce the army at
Ticonderoga under Col. [p.140] Benjamin Bellows. In 1778 he was a resident of Pownalsboro,
Maine when mustered in the service for three years. He was born 1749 in East Hartford,
Conn.

Amos Fairbanks, (1737-1809), served as lieutenant at the Lexington Alarm and subsequently as
captain. He was a member of the Committee of Safety 1780. He was born and died in
Harvard.

John Woods, (1750-1810), was at the siege of Boston. He served in the Rangers under his father
in the Burgoyne campaign. His widow received a pension for twenty-two months actual service of
the soldier as private and sergeant in the Massachusetts and Vermont lines. He was born in
Pepperell, Mass.; removed to Vermont 1777 and died in Windsor, Vt.

John Brown was a minute man at the Lexington Alarm from Rehoboth where he was born
1740.
