They dwelt at Montpelier till 13 Oct. 1848; at Warren till 10 March 1856; at Barton, Vt., till Jan. 1851; at Warren again, till 23 Oct. 1873; and then settled at Lincoln, Vt., where they were living in Oct. 1874.

II. Mary Ann Clark Whitney, b. at Wolcott, Vt., 6 May 1829; married at Montpelier, Vt., 28 Jan. 1849, Josiah W. Conant; married (2d), 20 Ap. 1851, at Warren, Vt., Sumner Billings, a marble-carver, son of Rufus and Hannah (Gordon) Billings, of Warren. He was born at Windsor, Vt., 16 May 1812. They dwelt at Montpelier for six years; at Warren, eight years; at Northfield, Vt., three years; and settled, in 1868, at Waitsfield, Vt., where he died 2 June 1874. She was living there in Nov. 1874.

Lucia Ann Bartlett Whitney, b. at Wolcott, Vt., 30 July 1830; married at Montpelier, Vt., 28 May 1849, Frederick Mather Perry, a dentist, son of William and Christian (Marsh) Perry, of Hartland, Vt., formerly of Quechee, in Hartford, Vt., where he was born 28 Dec. 1815. They dwelt at Irasburgh, Vt., four years; and then settled at Barton, Vt., where they were living in Nov. 1874, without children.

They dwelt at Fayston, Vt., till 1868; and then settled at Westfield, Vt., where they were living in Nov. 1874.

VII. Eliza Eveline Whitney, b. at Wolcott, Vt., 23 Jan. 1841; married at Northampton, Mass., 25 Oct 1864, by Rev. George Hewes, Methodist Episcopal, to Truman Abel Nichols, a carpenter and farmer, born at Braintree, Vt., 26 June 1840, son of Ammi and Abby (Martin) Nichols. They dwelt successively at Waitsfield, Randolph, and Warren, Vt.; and settled, in March 1874, at West Randolph, Vt., where they were living in Oct. 1874. He enlisted, 14 Aug. 1861, in Co. H., 6th Reg., Vt. Vol. Infantry; and was discharged 14 Oct 1864.
