William L.9 Whitney (Horatio8, Luke7, Josiah6, Abraham5, Abraham4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of Horatio8 and Catherine (Swartwood) Whitney, was born about 1858, and died 27 Apr 1897. He was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Van Etten, NY.[1]
He married, before 1880, Harriet Cornish, daughter of Isaac and Margaret F. (Lindsay) Cornish. She was born Feb 1861, NY, and died 21 Dec 1935, Van Etten, NY. She married secondly, 11 Feb 1899, Van Etten, NY, Lewis Ackles. She married thirdly, 6 Feb 1912, Van Etten, NY, Fred H. Hotchkiss.
