Samuel Haskell (1749-1825) served as private and sergeant under Captains Joseph Elliott, Hezekiah Whitney and Colonels William Turner and Josiah Whitney, 1777-81, Massachusetts troops. He was born in Harvard, Mass.; died in Waterford, Me.
