Benjamin Elston (1759-1845) enlisted, 1777, and served under Captain Lane and Colonel Davis, New Jersey troops; engaged in the Battle of Springfield. In 1844 he applied for a pension and his claim was allowed. He was born in New Jersey; died in Trimble County, Ky.
Samuel Hisle received a pension, 1833, for service as private in the Virginia troops under Col. James Slaughter.
Levi Scott (1762-1844) received a pension for service as private in the North Carolina troops under Generals McDowell, Greene and Clark. He died in Henry County, Ky.
Roger McPike served as private under Captains Steed, Kirkpatrick, and Stith in Col. Abraham Bowman's 8th Virginia regiment. He was born in Ireland; died 1814, in Natchitoches, La.

William Hayden gave frontier service and was the first settler of Lexington, Kentucky (then Virginia), 1781. He was born in Virginia; died in Kentucky.
Benjamin Hayden received a pension, 1834, for service as private in the Virginia troops. He was born in Spotsylvania County, Va. died in Henry County, Ky.
