Daniel Whitney (1720-82) was a Minute Man at the Lexington Alarm under Captain Underwood, and served as private in the Massachusetts troops under Colonels Prescott, Robinson and Brooks. Also member of the Committee of Safety and of a committee to hire soldiers. He was born and died in Stow, Mass.
